Lakeside residents are advised of an upcoming overnight closure of Bayside Blvd as crews prepare to perform another traffic switch associated with ongoing roadway improvements in the area.

Overview

Construction crews will perform a traffic switch at Bayside Blvd beginning Sunday evening, August 23. Bayside Blvd will be temporarily fully closed overnight to allow crews to safely complete the necessary work.

Residents traveling through the area are encouraged to plan ahead and use the designated detour route during the closure.

Closure Schedule

Closure Begins: Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 9:00 PM

Road Reopens: Monday, August 24, 2026, at 6:00 AM

Location: Bayside Blvd

Closure Type: Full overnight closure

Work Being Performed

During the closure, construction crews will complete several roadway and traffic improvements, including:

• Installation of pavement markings

• Removal of concrete barriers

• Adjustments to traffic signals

• Completion of concrete pavement

• Storm sewer infrastructure work

• Sidewalk improvements

Detour Information

While Bayside Blvd is temporarily closed, motorists should use the following detour route:

Emerald Lake Dr → Great Salt Lake Rd → Lakeview Blvd

Residents should allow additional travel time and follow all posted traffic and detour signage when traveling through the area.

What to Expect After Reopening

Bayside Blvd is scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 24, at 6:00 AM.

Following the traffic switch, two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on Bayside Blvd.

Drivers should remain attentive to the new traffic configuration and use additional caution while becoming familiar with the updated roadway pattern.
