Traffic Alert: Overnight Closure and Traffic Switch at Lakeview Blvd

Construction crews will be performing a traffic switch at Lakeview Blvd as part of the ongoing improvements associated with the US 59 Loop project. To safely complete this work, Lakeview Blvd will be temporarily closed overnight.


Schedule

Closure Begins: Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 8:00 PM

Road Reopens: Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 6:00 AM

Location: Lakeview Blvd (Lakeside entrance)


Work Being Performed

During the overnight closure, construction crews will complete the following work:

  • Installation of new pavement markings

  • Removal of the existing concrete barrier

  • Continued completion of concrete pavement

  • Storm sewer infrastructure improvements

  • Sidewalk construction


These improvements are part of the ongoing roadway enhancements designed to improve traffic flow and safety in the area.


Detour Information

While Lakeview Blvd is closed, motorists should use the following detour route:


Great Salt Lake Rd → Emerald Lake Dr → Bayside Blvd


Please allow extra travel time if you plan to enter or exit the community during the closure.


What to Expect After Reopening

Lakeview Blvd is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 6:00 AM.


Once reopened, two lanes of traffic in each direction will be available, providing improved traffic flow for residents and commuters.


Safety Reminder

  • Please use caution when traveling near active construction areas.

  • Follow all posted detour signs.

  • Reduce your speed in work zones.

  • Watch for construction crews and equipment.

  • Plan ahead for possible delays during the overnight closure.
